Ben Gin : Toilet 1998
Ben Gin : Toilet 1998
THE very first artwork under the intention of Ben Gin. Made in 1998, this piece not only marks the beginning of Ben Gin's artistic career but also is one of the only ceramic works produced by the artist. It was this piece and those that followed which Ben produced after having been given extremely encouraging support from his art instructor Mrs. Barbie Rice in Helena Middle School of Montana.
The piece stands roughly 8" tall and is 5" wide and deep. The top of the toilet is removable and reveals the water and float inside the toilet's fill tank. The top had been dropped a few times and re-glued but the entire piece has a great appeal and has served as a great q-tip and tooth pick holder ever since.
A must have for the discerning art collector's bathroom.
